Buy some black bin bags.
Cut one hole in top for head and one hole each side for arms.
From experience, they'll keep you dry.:nice1

I got my daughter one at The Warehouse - about 1/3 of the price of Kathmandu and works fine. But that was in Auckland...

I'd try The Warehouse, K Mart or Farmers, haven't yet tried Postie Plus for clothes
If you want something for more than school then Khatmandu but when there's a chance they may not come home I'd stick with a cheap one :)
