Hi all
Anyone living in NZ knows when is the best time (most affordable) to buy airplane tickets out of NZ? Need to visit my dear parents at least once a year after I relocate from Singapore.
Cheers!! :nice1

A few airlines (including Singapore Airlines) were offering early booking specials for $1899 return (plus the inevitable taxes) for NZ to Europe provided that you travelled out on or before 30th November.
I think that the cheapest period tends to be September to end of November as this doesn't coincide with peak holiday season or school holidays in either hemisphere.

Return fairs to the Uk are the lowest they've been for a while $1650, not sure if they go much lower than that

Thanks Radders/GeorgeM :cheers
Thanks for the inputs. Reason why I am asking is because I need to know if it is better to buy an open return ticket from Singapore or to wait for promotional prices in NZ for return trips to Singapore.
Any other cost saving suggestions is most appreciate!! :nice1
