Has anyone any experience of staying in one of the many serviced apartments in Auckland, on a short term basis?

We stayed for a week with the Metropole apartments - Fantastic imho. It had everything we wanted and was home away from home for the week that we were there. It had a swimming pool and gym which was great for keeping the kids entertained, and the car park was great. I would recommend it, and would have been very happy to have stayed longer!

I am currently in the Quest apartments (I'm at the Quest on Eden, but there are also ones on Queens street).
I think its great for a temporary setting. My place is small, but has a full kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and bathroom. Its also walking distance to everything I need - the city center and work, so I have not needed a car yet and still been able to get things done.
Its really been helpful as a transition, and having my own kitchen has kept expenses down :)

If you fancy the Shore try Seavista apartments. Search for seavista apartments on google and you should find it. Very nice kiwi family run it, give you a very personal service. Will remain friends, could not get a better intro in to NZ.
