OMG
I have got my first job interview next week, a lady just called from Baby Star so I've been asked to go in on Wednesday :D
Now I'm scared as I've always worked in casinos (19 years) and with the same company so I've NEVER been on a real job interview OMG what do I say and my clothes don't even fit anymore as I've eaten sooo much since being here:o.
Don't think I'll get it but wish me luck

Just do as much preparation as you can manage for the interview Natasha and you'll be brimming with confidence. My advice would be to:
1) research the co. you'd be working for.
2) try to match the role with your own skills and experience (and that's experience from anything you've done before) - make sure you get a job spec from them before the interview if you haven't got it already, so you know what they're after.
3) have 3 good questions to ask - I like these ones - in your own words of course:
What would you like to see the person in this job achieve first?
What is a typical week (or day) like here?
Do you have any concerns about my abilities that I can address now?
and 4) smile :)
good luck and let us know how you get on.

always ask for the job: "Having seen me today, what would prevent you from hiring me?"
that way you can overcome any of their concerns while there. They might say that they havent seen everyone yet so reply with "I appreciate that, but if you didnt have anyone else to see what would prevent you from hiring me?"
good luck :nice1

Think I got the job as I had my second interview today and was told that the lady who interviewed me on Wednesday was really impressed with me and I'm doing a whole day trail on Monday to see if they think I'll be good.:D
Well this job is in Baby Star shop in Thorndon so I'm sure their is mothers in Welly who know where I'm talking about.:D
I just hope it goes well on Monday
