Anyone submitted ITA in November 2008 in Beijing branch has been allocated a case officer?
Any update on processing time? My ITA acknowledgement letter states 6-12 months time.

Does that mean you can expect a CO anytime within the next 3 months ?
I submitted in Dec and i have not received this acknowledgement letter yet .
Best wishes

I think you better ring or email nzis on asking if they received your document. They may put 1 year processing period on the acknowledgement letter but at least, they should give you an acknowledgement letter.

Seems the backlog in the Beijing office has built up quite a bit since my case was last processed there. I lodged my ITA in April 2008, got a letter from them approximately 1 month later saying that it would take 6 months to process and told me the name of my CO at the same time in the same letter. I was interviewed 6 months + 1 week later, receving the approval in principal in just under a month after the interview.
My case was just not so long ago and it really surprises me they now give a 12 months estimate and are so much slower in assigning CO. I hope it is only their standard reply and that their actual service level today is much faster than 12 months. The waiting process is really a killer.
