I have been in contact with friends of ours who live in Tauranga, they say the work situation is dreadful. Not just the building trade, but teaching and other business sectors are having recruitment freezes. Is the state of the rest of the country at the moment. It just makes the whole getting a job offer from this end, which is virtually impossible, even harder. Just wondered if anyone else could validate or shed some light on this information.
Thanks :nice1

having just come back from nz and having 8 interviews I can say that the reality is like most things, somewhere in the middle. although I got an offer, before that I did feel that I could deffo land something in 3 months. I would say that you have to be there really face to face in the current environment. they have frozen the recruitment drive but are still looking for good skilled people on the whole when a vacancy arrives.
