Gonna do a new EOI next week for the draw and have calculated that we have 185 points with job offer.
What I dont want to do is declare stuff that would take time to collate so want to keep it simple but still get selected.
are there any rules on non disclosure or can you elect to declare what you want?
What would be the minimum points with a job offer not on any lists that I should go for to ensure selection?

Well, I'd declare experience for the job offer and age at the least. I don't think you need to declare qualifications or partner qualifications if they aren't relevant or helping you. You could leave off some of the work experience if hard to prove.
I think you need to declare age, English ability and probably any other basic vital stuff.
If I were you, just to be safe, I'd stay above 140 points. With a job offer on the LTSSL I wouldn't worry about the point thresh hold (other than getting over 100) but for you I' want to hedge bets just a bit. :)
That way if they throw anything out you have a bit of a buffer zone.

yeah! 185 points! aww i'm so excited for you guys!

also if you forgot anything on the EOI you should be able to add it to the ITA (with docs)...the more points the better!

you can leave off anything more difficult to substantiate than other things in terms of claiming points for if you felt like it. Obviously you have to honestly disclose all relevant information in your application but the stuff they are not interested in is your business :)

If you have a job you get selected even at 110 points I had 10 yrs worth of exeperience but when I sent my ITA in accidently pu t copies in originals in container in then did not count them but still had job and got PR

depends if you need it for the points...

could you put it all in for the eoi and then elect what to prove or not for the ita on the basis that you are pushed for time?

Mmm, that would be up to your CO. I'd say probably not though.
I'd say if you probably don't need the work experience if you have enough points otherwise then just leave it out.
They may end up asking you for (some of) it though if they are wondering why you have a job offer with no work experience, but then again, they may not. I'd just worry that they'd have questions about the job offer if you didn't claim experience to back it up and that could lead to further delays...

I'd say if you could get the last 5 years or so of work experience proof (sometime after submitting the EOI and possibly even after the ITA, and just keep it on hand in case they ask) that should be more than enough.

i can do the last couple of years easy peasy but the few years before are tricky. i have requested my tax records but this may hold me up. Would it be easier to just declare the last couple of years?
Bear in mind my last eoi expired and 10 years were declared on that one

Hi Victoria

The advice we were given by the agent was to only claim the points that we needed to ensure that the EOI was selected. I could have claimed points for qualifications and experience on the LTSSL but I was advised that I would then require NZQA assessment and also to contact employers to prove work experience etc. So as we had enough points I did not include it..knowing it was in reserve if we were not selected before my 45th birthday!

As our Agent put it, once you are over the threshold and your application is selected it doesn't really matter what your points score is! It was good advice.

Are you going to get a work visa/permit first?... Your employer might be waiting a fair long time for you otherwise, if you wait for PR to come trickling through. Even after I was here, with work permit and having started work, it still took 5 1/2 months for us to get PR after I submitted the EOI. Definitely worth looking in to!

If you can get the last few years of work experience proof easily then just use that and don't claim the rest. I doubt they check your details from EOI to EOI. They have enough to do without worrying about things like that. :)

*nods* I agree just claim the last few - don't worry about the details being different, if they ask you can tell them why, but I would doubt they will check that.
