Can anyone recommend a good shipper from the US to NZ? Or does anyone have good/bad experiences with either Southern Winds International and Trans Global Moving?

I'm also wondering if anyone has tried Allied Pickfords? I filled out the online request for info on the Allied Intl Web site but haven't heard anything in over 2 weeks (and couldn't find a phone number for follow-up). Yesterday I filled out the Allied Pickfords NZ online request for info but I'm not sure if they'll contact me since I am not in NZ?

Another odd point - according to some of the posts I've read by UK forumers, it seems that the company actually goes to your residence to give you a detailed quote. It doesn't seem to work that way here in the US (they just do over the phone/email quotes based on inventory). Anyone else have that experience?

Any tips/advice appreciated.

Crown seemed to be the only one willing to come by and check out my stuff. Everyone else sent an Excel spreadsheet for me to fill out (not v. helpful since I don't have Excel).

Can't give any other advice since I've decided to sell everything and spend the $$$ to send the dog!!!
