To add to my confusion about MAF policies, a shipper I spoke to yesterday said that "MAF doesn't care about processed wood items like cutting boards, wooden cooking spoons, and so on." He elaborated that they only care about something like a wood chair that was made of fresh cut logs. He was saying that you shouldn't even LIST processed wood items.

:? :? :? :?

Help! I'm so confused! Is that true?

Yep that's right - we brought all of our wooden kitchen stuff - chopping boards, wooden spoons, pestle & mortar etc. did not have to be declared at all - they're only interested in things like wicker where insects could be alive inside it without you being able to tell.
