I landed 6 months ago today :clap Where has the time gone?
We are still having a ball and still loving NZ, not a lot more to say really :D
So pleased we made the leap.

* Free events
* Huge choice of great sandy/shell beaches (I had Lepe Beach and Calshot Beach nearby in the UK, okay but very pebbley and we didn't actually use them that much due to the high parking fees)
* OH who's happy in his job
* Children getting to play on climbing frames in the school playground
* Free parking (in most places we've been to so far apart from the CBD, although it is still possible at certain times)
* Excellent play parks
* Child friendly/accepting
* Huge house (came from a small 2 bed in UK)
* Starry skies
* Sunny summer
* More family time (because OH now does shift work, even though he's working longer hours)
* Corn fritters (OH's contribution towards this post!)
* Knowing that we don't have to make the most of this sunny day, because there will be another very soon.
* Lack of litter
* Patriotism - such as hearing my children sing the National Anthem and the raising and lowering of the flag every morning and afternoon at school. My children never sang nor learnt God Save the Queen when they were in the UK.
Will that do for now?:)
Things I miss:
- My family
- Step-daughters
- Decent (even half decent would be nice) Chicken Korma and Peshwari Naan
- Familiarity
- Street knowledge
My girls are only 6, 5, and 2, so don't really have much of a view on living in a new country. The eldest one tells me she would like to go back to England so that she could go to Paulton's Park (theme park 20 minutes from where we use to live) - that's the only thing apart from her Nanny and Grandad.

Once we arrive, we can invite you for Chicken Korma, but Peshwari Naan will be not possible.
Nice post
