I need to do a competence assessment before gaining full registration (Midwife). My plan was to get full registration by July 10 and apply for 2 year work permit while waiting for residence.......hopefully I would be working by august 1.
BUT...yesterday I called the Auckland Office and they told me work permits were taking 60 days to process!!!! HOW CAN THIS BE???? In Chile it only takes 15 days top.
Is it mandatory to apply to Auckland office? can I apply in Wellington or another office once in NZ?? I can be not working for so many months!!:wah
