For anyone that may be worried that FBI Police Certificate may take too long:

Had prints taken 3 March; sent to Clarksburg via Priority Mail the same day (with a prepaid Priority Mail return envelope -- clearly marked "Please Expedite -- for Immigration Purposes" on the outside of the envelope per previous advice on this forum). FBI ran the checks (four of them -- me, OH, two eldest children) on 13 March, and I received results yesterday.

They beat my most optimistic estimate by at least a week. Not bad. Now I just need medicals and ITA should be on its way to London before our recce flight on 27 March.

Hey there,

Very cool! Also to note, my husband and I did not check the box we need it ASAP for emigration purposes and they still came back in two weeks. :nice1

I sent my FBI clearance request via first class mail (the cheapest one) and did not include a pre-paid envelope and did not request it to expedite.

I sent mine on Feb 17 and recevied it back on Feb 28th. I think most of the people receive theirs in about 2 weeks in the US.

We also got ours back in two weeks. Not bad processing time!

The FBI check was probably the easiest part of the process for us.
