Just had a pm from another forum member who was asked to provide a work ref for INZ to issue the ITA. I know this members job start date so I have reckoned on receiving contact from a CO over the next few days.
I thought the point of an ITA was to provide the info so why would they ask for this before issuing it?

Sometimes they want to check before they issue the ITA I guess.
Various people have been asked to submit details of education etc before being issued an ITA, so I'd imagine work experience would be similar as it's something they award points on.

*nods* they will be verifying points claim before issuing an ITA in some cases, if you can't verify your points they may knock points off and therefore the application may be sent back to the pool... or rejected, but if you're only claiming points you shoudl be it's nothing to worry about :)
