I was just commenting a few days ago that it felt like our ITA had fallen into a black hole, as we had heard nothing from immigration since handing it in, in November last year.
This week I plucked up the courage to call them to find out if anything was happening, and was told my documents were in a queue and going through verification.
Then yesterday I got a letter!! From INZ!! Not "the" letter unfortunately, but still, at least I know someone is thinking of me. :D
Apparently, the letter of employment I requested from HR, which contains my job description, renumeration and working hours is not enough - they want my full employment contract. So if anyone is currently putting together an ITA, bear in mind they may want the actual employment contract.
So today I have to go to HR, fetch the HR lady who will be holding my original employment contract, walk with her to a JP who is luckily in my building, and get a copy of my contract certified. OH also needs to submit his certified copy of his employment contract.
Another thing is, I didn't supply details in the ITA of my siblings and parents as they are not emigrating with me, but apparently INZ wants to know about them anyway. (They know I have siblings and parents from my medical certificate) Same for OH. I had just put OH, myself and our daughter in the family details section (Section O and Section T if anyone cares)
And last, our medicals have been sent to the assessor as OH was ill at the time of the exam. But we were expecting that.
Yay, out of the black hole!
