Hi all,

I think this is the worst timing of the year.

We checked our email on last Tuesday morning. Nothing from NZIS. Good. So we went for a week long trip. Came back yesterday and found out that we have an interview scheduled for 1st April! What the !!?

The email was received on last Tuesday afternoon (3/24) and the deadline for sending back a reply to the case officer is 29th of March.

We have send an email back last night and hope to hear something soon.

Anyone had this experience before? Are we doomed to do all the paperwork (and $$$) from scratch again?

We don't think you're application is doomed. It is only fair that your assigned VO give you another chance considering the timeline given to you is very short. Officers are considerate as long as you have justifiable reason. We hope that you'll hear from your VO soon with positive response. By the way, to which NZIS branch did you submit your ITA?

I agree, as long as you have a reasonable reaon for not responding (which you do) and given that the timeleine seems a bit shrot you should be alright to reschedule.

We are assigned to the Beijing Branch. I must admit that I am quite surprised by their efficiency. A bit too efficient in this case. :laugh

Hope that we'll hear something later.

No wonder :) Timeline given by VO from Beijing are really unpredictable. At some cases, their timeline seems fine, but to others it is either extremely fast or slow. Who is the assigned VO to your case?

Don't worry, they will reschedule again within 1 or 2 weeks.
It is common, just relax.

Gook luck

What a relief. VO has agreed to schedule another interview next week. Crossing our fingers!

Thanks. Funny that you mentioned it. A day after the interview I have to clear a few more days of holiday. :D
