had an email from inz this morning saying that our status has been changed. logged in and it says that the ITA is pending with a lodgement date and that the medicals are received (3 days difference in the dates)
does this mean our ITA has already been assessed or is being assessed?
if they required anything else from us, would they have asked already or is this the beginning of the assessment?

unfortunately that's kind of the beginning and the website is a bit bonkers anyway! But it does show it is definitely there and they are moving it through the system. I should think your ITA will be whizzed through so you might get it all done and dusted in a week or three

i fly in 2 weeks and 5 days! and theyve got our passportos. can we ask for them back and if so how much notice would you give them?

Those medical dates are the weirdest thing.... It showed mine as having been submitted in the future and then it changed again... and again..... I managed to get my passport back because I had to travel (not to NZ). I think I phoned them up on Tuesday because I needed the passport on Friday. Not a problem they said just come to collect it. Because by then they had already made a decision I managed to persuade them to let me jump the queue and got my stickers when I collected the passport. THey really do try to help if they can

I tried and failed to find similar thread from when we went through the same scenario of logging on to NZIS site constantly :o But from what I can remember I think tis good news Neil and fingers crossed you get the blueys as soon as :nice1 By the way meeting up with RedDevil tomorrow so will say hello :)

Straight forward PR spousal visa...london NZIS has had it since beginning of February now.
All we have heard is that the medical was referred...they asked for more info which we urgently obtained after frantic appointments and racing around across London.
Chased up and 'apparently' there was a medical backlog and when we supplied the extra info it just sat in the london office of NZIS for two weeks and they said 'we will send it over to the medical assessor today'....:wah

That was 2 weeks ago, so in reality they have had the extra info they needed to clarify the medical for 4 weeks.

Hard part is I finished my job back in mid march as we were expecting the visa long before now!
Im sitting around spending money with every breath while the medical sits on a desk in a 'backlog'....
