Hi there,

Obviously, as we are British, we do not need Visas. However, I note that it says they issue visitor permits for "up to 6 mths" on arrival in NZ... how and when does this happen.... and how do we know we will be given a 6 mth visitor permit?

What are others experiences of this when arriving on a visitors visa...

Thanks
Moorf

Hi Moorf,

We were there last year and from what I remember it's just a stamp in your passport that's got a date on it, that says you're allowed to be there until that date.

Hiya

When they stamp your passport with your entry stamp, that is your 6 month visit visa. I says on the stamp that you are allowed to stay for up to 6 months.

Not long now :clap

Ah, so no interrogations with a swinging lightbulb, dripping water or electrical leads then? Phew...

Sounds ok... I'll cross that off my list of panics!!

Sandra - are u on a visa or will u be in same queue as us?!!

Yes - I'll be there queueing with you - and I've got my return ticket too.

When I was at Golden Arrow they were talking there about how many people were arriving at Heathrow with one way tickets and no visa assuming that everything would be OK because they had credit cards to pay for a return ticket if necessary and they were being turned away and not allowed on the flight. :eek To think I nearly bought a one way ticket.
