I just want to say how annoying it is to be left waiting for the visas to be processed. I am due to start work in Auckland on the 1st of August. However, due to us needing to settle and arrange housing, schools and get to know the area when we arrive (plus the rising cost of airfares when leaving booking till the last minute) I have booked our flights for the 15th June. (which apparently according to INZ was the wrong thing to do)!
I have also had to give in my notice at work (two months required), as well as give notice on our house. All this when we do not know 100% that we will get our visas. Anyone else feel like this?
If it all falls through, not only will I appear to be jobless and our family technically homeless, I will have also wasted 1000's of pounds on the privilege!
Come on INZ, Get a move on!!!

I know what you meen, OH due to start work on 9th Sep in Wellington, we thought we had applied in plenty of time - still waiting........

Ditto - we've been told we have PR but haven't had a letter yet - nearly two weeks since we were told we had it and although I've booked flights, I'm hanging on until we get it before I book shippers

CK38, I'm sure you'll hear soon given that you have a job though and well done for getting the last of the cheap flights, we were desparate to get out on 14 / 15 June before the price hikes but have had to go with early July

ditto ck38! We submitted our ITA in September 08 and we are still waiting for our medicals to be cleared (even though myself and my son are fighting fit). we have had to do a paper exercise for the MA and it is going on and on. I had a job offer and pulled out of it in November. Lucky i did because I told them we would be there in January at the latest!

At least when you are gathering evidence for your ITA you are doing something, this waiting and waiting with no end in sight is torture.
