I'll admit I'd been a bit on edge recently so thanks loads to those who replied to previous posts and put me at ease again.

Finally, this morning our 4 passports arrived (for Lydia and I and 2 small boys) and they have these lovely blue stickers in them. Hurrah!!! :raebanana

We don't have jobs sorted yet, so now the de-junking and house packing begins (planning to rent our house while away), book tickets and we shall be heading for Christchurch this year (or as soon as poss)!

We're both so excited...

Good luck to everyone else on the same journey!

Hey guys!
Well we've just had another baby boy 6 weeks ago. So we have to wait a little while. We've kind of made a deal with family to be around for one last Christmas in the UK, but then hopefully fly out on 28th/29th Dec or so.

What's happening on your side now? I hope it's all still going ahead!
All the best,

Luke.

Congratulations on the new addition to the family. :bluebanana:bluebanana:bluebanana:bluebanana

We took the house off the market and we were planning to enjoy the summer in Sussex and then head off to Christchurch in October, after renting the house out. The house was off the market about a week when we got an acceptable offer! Our estate agents have told us a few porkie pies but it all seems to be going ahead now. We are hoping for a survey next week and keeping everything crossed.

Rorschach,

Congratulations! How are your batteries? Have your lives have accelerated to warp speed?

We are in a similar position, just had another baby boy about 6 weeks ago, and planning on moving to Chch soon - we just havent got PR (yet). Have submitted ITA in Jan 09 and expecting contact from a case officer by mid May. So planning to move before the end of the year.

We dont have any family over here in the UK, but it is going to be really hard to sever ties with all our friends.

Enjoy this time with your family, and all the best with your plans....

Wow, you guys are in a really similar situation to us. We have some good friends we will be staying with for a short while, but anyway I'll PM you and we can keep in touch.
