Has anyone had their ACCA qualification assessed by NZQA? Would it be possible to claim the 50 points available for a recognised qualification??
Any help would be much appreciated :)

Hi,
Im not certain whether this will be of assistance, but see my thread below where I was faced with a similar situation.

In summary, I am also ACCA qualified, and did a fair bit of searching at the time of submitting my EOI. This qualification is not recognised by INZ as it is not included on their list of recognised qualifications (so your only option may be to have it assessed by NZQA).
Maybe you should try calling INZ directly and asking this question? (I called the office in NZ) Also, ask about the ANZSCO list - they seem to place a lot of emphasis on this list when deciding whether you have the necessary skills and experience to apply as a SM. - I expect (from your qualification) that you are an accountant/ auditor
I hopefully have a way around this issue (fingers crossed), as I was able to claim 50 points for another degree which is included on their list.......
I will find out if this works very soon. I am expecting my ITA to be pulled by a CO in early May.......

Hi,
Good luck with your ITA!!
Yes I am an auditor. Unfortunately ACCA is not on INZ's or ANZSCO's list of recognised qualifications. I find it very difficult to understand how this is the case since ACCA is taught, recognised by NZICA and accepted by employers in NZ :wah
I wonder whether there is anyone who has already had ACCA assessed by NZQA!
