Well, my wife just sent off our ITA -- came in at just under 4.5 lbs, US $110 for 2-day delivery to London.

Someone must know -- at what point does NZIS charge the application fee? Upon receipt, or upon assignment to a CO? If the latter, my wife will have to be unusually restrained in her shopping a few months from now (I gave them a debit account to charge).

The fee is charged upon receipt of the ITA. Our credit card cleared in like a day or so. The migrant levy is charged when PR is granted, when they put the blue stickers in your passports. :)
