Is that directly affecting for people who are using agency though??

I think it will directly affect anybody who is using an unlicensed agent. Since they seem to be by far in the majority, I would check!

Is that directly affecting for people who are using agency though??Like it shows in the article, NZIS will no longer accept or process any application placed by an NZ-based unlicensed agent. So an agent who has taken the full fee from a client at the start of the process, and has not got themselves licensed, is no longer in a position to do anything for the client. Morally, they ought to give the client a refund, but it will remain to be seen what happens in individual cases.

Agents based outside NZ have another year before they will be regulated in the same way.

Just saw this news report (http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-stories/5551442/migrants-hurt-unlicensed-agents-help/) and thought it might be relevant.

Cheers,
