Hi Guys,

I filed for my PR back in Oct after receiving my ITA. Recently my immigration office called and mentioned that I would need to verify my full time work experience as I was also attending college at the same time. Unfortunately, this verification is taking a very long time with most of the contacts leading to dead ends.

When I completed another application form online (as a test) and did not indicate that I have any sort of experience, my points fell from 200 to 155, which I believe is still enough to meet minimum criteria set by for a PR.

Would it be possible for me to call my immigration office and request her to delete the information as its taking too long to verify. Will it effect my application negatively? Will my application be rejected because I am unable to prove the above? Will my application be subject to additional scrutiny because I requested for deletion of information from my application?

I'm a little confused; I just sent in my PR application last week, but the ITA form asks for documentation of all the points that you're claiming. As long as you've documented a duration of skilled employment > the minimum for the category in question, there's no need to do more -- they're not going to give you extra points for more experience.

If you want to be polite to your "immigration office," just clarify that your ITA statements are accurate, but unverifiable. No need to ask for anything to be deleted, IMO.
