Well with the promise of job a while back in Baby Star, which never happened at the last moment I have had a couple of months of just disappointment with no luck of a job UNTIL today.
My son goes to Island Bay school and in there news letter last week a job come up for a teacher aid position for a wee girl with food and environment allergies, so I applied I had and interview today along with 6 others I left thinking I don't have as I didn't think the interview went well BUT it must have as I got a phone call tonight from the head teacher offering me the position, so I've been jumping around the kitchen like a mad lady so I start in 2 weeks time YES!.:D

None at all, I meet with the wee girls mother on Monday and she will be going over everything with the head teacher and the teacher and myself so this is all new to me, and the hours are great 8am till 1.45pm holidays same as my son and no child care needed the wage is not great BUT i must admit this is something I would find very rewarding.

Fantastic news Scotty69!!! :nice1
I was recently working as a teacher aide, helping an autistic boy make the transition from home to school. Apart from working in a home for the disabled during my school summer hols (that's going back a while now) :D I found this job to be one of the most satisfying jobs I have ever done.
For me, one of the most rewarding things was seeing how relieved and happy his parents were that he was doing so well settling into school life. :)
Best of luck with the new job. :nice1
