Hi
We've also used both the sites mentioned above. Just put your dates in and search away , there are no shortage of nice holiday houses.
Where were you looking to stay in Tauranga??
We came over in February and booked a holiday let for 8 weeks down near the beach at Omanu / Mount. There are 6 of us though so we were looking at bigger places.

If you want to be near the beach then it's The Mount or Papamoa really
Have a look on Google Maps , I used to look on there and get directions to give me an idea of how long it would take to get from A to B
Matua & Bethlehem are both nice places. Maybe 15min drive to the beach [depending on traffic / time you go]
Are you looking at primary or secondary schools? What age children?

Have you seen this site
www.tki.org.nz/e/schools/graphical_search.php?gs_region=Tauranga_City
Gives information on Schools in the area.
We came over on a recce last year, before we came I emailed a few schools to see if we could have a look round.
They were all very helpful.

We did look at Matua Primary School.
As with all the schools we looked at it seemed to be a lovely school.
Don't know if you've heard about 'Decile Rates' but anyway Matua is rated 10.
To be honest it wasn't for us.
Also you would need to live in the zone to get in & we knew that we wouldn't be living in the zone, so that ruled it out anyway.
If you drop them an email they'd be happy to show you around.
I would say to look at a few , ask lots of questions & you'll probably get a feel for what you like/don't like.

Don't know what's wrong with their web address
Why not try their email - executiveofficer@matua.school.nz
The other web pages seem to work from the link on the previous page.
