NZ made boots

I am in the market for a new pair of heavy duty outdoor/work leather boots. I am a big believer in shopping local over imported whenever practical and possible. Since NZ is going to be local for us in a few months I was looking around the internet to see what NZ had to offer in footwear.

I came across this company based in Christchurch:

http://www.bootznz.com

After reading a bit, they seem to make handmade boots out of a small Christchurch shop using NZ leather as much as possible. Prices seem to be pretty good compared to other imported options.

Has anyone in NZ heard of this company or their products?

lol. curious to see what's on your feet now if you buy local in AK... something furry?? :)

when OH did his reccie he came across a great leather shop in ... Dunedin ( I think??). He chatted with the owner for over an hour- I'll have to ask him if they made boots too.
