Has anyone had their medical since the rules changed at the beginning of this month? Do doctors have the new forms (if they've changed), or do I need to get one from NZIS?

Hi
I believe the new medical forms and procedures were scrapped. So no panics. :nice1

Hi
We had our medicals last Thursday (7th) at Handsworth Wood Medical Centre in Birmingham.
They sent us the forms through to fill in beforehand and the actual medicals were no problem.
Quick look through forms with Admin Person, then 'pee in a pot', X ray with very nice lady, blood test, height, weight (nasty!), eye test, blood pressure test then back to the waiting room till Doc appeared. He saw all 4 of us at once. Went through medical history on forms with each of us, then we all had to stand on tip toe, on heels, squat down etc. He then checked us one by one lying on the couch, quick feel of glands etc, cough and that was it.
I had to have a breast examination and then that was that!
Not too bad at all really.
Grand total of £575 - 2 adults, 1 16 year old and 1 11 year old.
Hope that's useful to you. :smile

General question: do the medical centres supply the forms, or do I need to get them from NZIS??
Edinburgh question: does it matter if I go to Murrayfield for the xray first or to the doc for the medical first???? :? :?

You can download and print the forms from the NZIS site.
In our case the panel doc we contacted for the meds set up the xray appt and doc appt himself - all done on same day.
Hope that helps.

I agree with Moorf :nice1 download the forms yourself.
We got sent the forms out to fill in before we arrived, to save time!, and they gave us an outdated form :eek It has set our departure out about 3 more weeks.
