Woohoo ... Just got my copy of this years Entertainment book (for those whom don't know it costs $65, and is a big thick book full of discount vouchers off local attractions, restaurants and shops).
Am now busy deciding which voucher to use first :bluebanana

Yay I love the Entertainment book - we have got our new one, but trying to make the most of last year's one before it runs out in two weeks time, managed about $30 savings in the weekend :D

Personally I couldn't see the benefit of it. However the school did send it home at the same time as they were trying the chocolate fundraiser - not good timing afaic.

Same here ours was $55 and the savings we've already had pays for the book. The first voucher we used was for Wagamamas (not sure of spelling):D.

Think different regions are different prices? - all christchurch ones are $65 .. although wonder why ours is dearer?
Anyways - loads of restaurants to try out, as well as a few activities too .. swimming with dolpins is now 25% cheaper, although that might have to wait a few months for the warmer weather.

It depends on the region as to the price. I used to help coordinate deistribution for a national charity, and the difference in the size of the books (and therefore the amount of vouchers) is reflected in the different pricing.
Wellington and Hamilton have significantly less than Christchurch, which in turn has a lot less than Auckland.
If you like eating out, or use the cinema or other activities, then you can recoup the cost of the book quite quickly.

We got the Auckland one when we were over in 2007, and recouped the price of the whole book by using our first two vouchers (one meal for six, and one attraction). We only used about 10 vouchers in the time we were there, but left the the rest for the family. So I think they're great.:nice1

I've not heard of these. How and where do you get them?
We're planning to be in Welly in October.

We always get one. We eat out quite a bit and I'd estimate we saved around $500 last year using ours. This year my gym is in it for the first time offerring 25% off a year's membership which is worth over $100 on its own. And yay to Wagamamas being in it this year!
