Hi

Do we need passport numbers before we submit our EOI?

I have to order the kids passports and OH renewal, and just wondered if I could submit the EOI wothout the numbers.

I see the selection was down to 115 points this time, and we have 125 (no job offer) so was thinking of getting the ball rolling with a view to hopefully move next August.

PS new kitchen being delivered today after 10 years with a disintergrating 1970s kitchen I am really excited....sad eh?!

Hi Helen, My kids passports expire Nov 2009 but I submitted my EOI before I applied for the renewal of their passports.

You can see below the date I submitted my EOI and we only sent off for the renewal of passports on Monday.

I think it will only really need to be updated on ITA, but I could be wrong
I'm sure someone will correct me if not
:)

Sad!!!!!for getting a new kitchen?????? I cried when we sold our house because I had to leave my big range oven she meant soo much to me........sniff sniff... wwwaaaaaahhhhhhh.:wah

My OH renewed his passport after we submitted our EOI, and before submitting the ITA - all I did was correct the sections on the ITA which referred to the passport and added a comment stating that it had been renewed.

I'm fairly sure you can just add the numbers on the ITA when you get it. We had ours before so didn't need to add them later. The ITA is just the EOI that you can amend here and there and add new info where needed anyway.

Good news that you will have the kitchen sorted soon...just take care that you dont like it too much...you won't want to move!:exit

PS new kitchen!

We got new passports after submitting our ITA, because mine wouldn't have a year left on it by the time we got PR. Not a problem. I even asked, when I submitted the ITA by hand, if renewing passports after submission was a problem - no.

Do you mean August 2010 or 2009? Doubt you'd get done for 2009. Remember that August will be mid winter in NZ

I'm decorating my kitchen and will need to have new cupboard doors and I'm excited - event hough I'm leaving the house in October.

2010 for us, and I know it'll be winter in NZ, but that's our current game plan, if we ever get the kitchen fitted as we are diying it, bit so far OH has only talked about all the things he is doing, and has done nowt. :uhoh

Oh I wish I had known this I just sent of my old passports for renewal and thought I had to wait on the new numbers to submit. Hmm... I think they are still sitting waiting to be mailed. I am going to open up the package and get those numbers down. Now for a new passport for a kid I think you do need to wait. That is what I am waiting on.
