I need to get a police cert for my work permit application based on partnership can this simply be the FBI report? or is the police cert completely different? Thanks,

It is the FBI report -fingerprints sent in to FBI for processing and a letter back from them attached to the fingerprints saying that you have no arrest record.
Just sent ours in a little over a week ago and expecting they will be back in about 3 weeks, maybe sooner

As above, it is the FBI fingerprint check.
I was in a hurry to get the record so I put in a 'dateline' on the envelope as instructed and got the prints back in less than 3 weeks.

Oh yes. Good idea! I did that too even though we are not on a super strict timeline. Will let you know how quick we receive ours.:nice1
