Our postman was a welcome sight today with his registered parcel... :eek

2 lovely passports with those fabulous blue stickers!! Yipp-eeee! :raebanana :raebanana

One question though, thanks to AHDB and their generous job offer we are following the 18a regulations for the first 3 months. Which is fair, fine and dandy.
However as 'the baggage' with no job offer, my Visa still states that said job offer must be taken up within 3 months. As I didn't submit one, I am assuming that this statement relates to the application as a whole, rather than at each individual level.

Yes, I will be finding gainful employment, but I don't know how quickly.

This might be something Linda and Ali can clear up for us (fingers crossed emoticon here), since they went along the same route.

Anyway, at least that's one big step over with - now to sell/burn down the house and get on with the adventure. :nice1 :nice1

Thanks to everybody whose been informative, supporting and inspiring over the last....it's been how long :eek

ps: Have been keeping a mini diary / schedule on the weblink in my profile if you want to know... :exit

Rich n Sophie :cheers

Totally, you cannot stay independant of your partner - you are dependant on them fulfilling the conditions. It says it on my visa and the visas of our 2 kids aged 5 and 2 - now they are hardly gonna go out and work are they?!

So another 1.5mths for us then get the employer to write the letter, send it off and all passports get nice UNCONDITIONAL PR stamps in them.. yay!

enjoy.

Sarah.

Thanks zsj,

That's what I'd hoped, just confused at the wording. Our case officer confirmed it today too.

Thanks again ENZ gang. :nice1

Thanks Cptn, will have to look at this but I think I'm certain that my PR is unconditional.

My stamp looks just like hers.

In any case we didnt give it much thought because we we're certain I'd get a job, and I did. Sorry if this doesnt help you but "....I wear the horns in this relationship & the pants...and what I say goes - thats the final word on the matter...."

that may not mean much to you but when you get here listen to 99.0 FM and the Morning Pirates on Radio Hauraki
