I'm after some colouring books for our girls, but I can't seem to find anything other than flimsy little books. I use to buy 'bumper' books in UK, but nothing more than 20 to 30 or so pages here. Strange thing to miss I know and am actually getting the grandparents to ship some over.

We get through books at a rate of knots......or they are printing pages off the internet much to OH's annoyance (UK printer and cartridges :()

The local $2 shop had some good "meaty" colouring books.

and you'll probably find some in the Warehouse

Nothing in our closest couple of $ shops. And certainly none in The Warehouse or K-Mart. I may have to extend my search. I'm prepared to 'go the extra mile' just because I know how much peace and quite I get when they have their head in a colouring book :nice1 :D

My friend complains of exactly the same thing. She has actually asked me to bring back some colouring books on my next visit home! So can't help you, but know that you are not alone :)

Have you got a Take Note or Sunny's near you? I bought a couple of "bumper" colouring books for my niece earlier this year, and I know I got them in one or the other of those shops as I don't have many shops near me!

The Book Depository sells them: have a look here (http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/search/index?searchTerm=colouring+books&category=2462). They're based in the UK, but delivery to NZ is free. My dad ordered a load of books from there for me for my birthday a couple of weeks ago (not colouring books! :D), and they took about a week to get here, and every book was sent separately, so no problems with import duty.

I'll have a look and see if they have any here next time I'm in town as well - I'd be happy to post a couple to you if I can find any.
