Hi,
I'm applying for our PR visa on the basis of IT Sales / Account Management - if I get either a PR or a WTR visa, do I have to stick at those jobs, or could I get another, related job? I ask because I have a company which is very interested in me, but in a Sales Support role, rather than full blown Sales / A-c Man. They can't do anything till I've got the visa, but would the fact that it isn't the right type of job bar me from getting it?
Thanks in advance
Jo

If you get PR without it being based on a job offer then I don't think it matters what type of job you end up doing. WTR though, I don't know if there are restrictions.

I had the same query and spoke to an agent.

PR - Then you can do whatever job you want if you arrive in NZ.
WTR - You must find work on the skill you applied with and selected on and work in a job on the specific skill.
Once you have PR you can do whatever you want.

Fab - many thanks :-) Will have to keep my fingers crossed for full PR then!

Also..

I think PR with job offer with Section 18a requires you to stay in that job for 3 months?
