Does someone have the contact info for the NZ consultants? We've been off the forum for a while, but we haven't given up on NZ (yet!) I figure we should talk to these guys and see if they offer any hope for us musician types. I see a lot of new faces here and some of the old ones too, but new or old we offer a hearty greeting to all and TIA

I only have an e-mail for Don Badman (he's in LA): don.badman@nzis.dol.govt.nz
Hope that helps.

Dave, mate! Welcome back :clap . I've been thinking about you guys.
If you're talking about the NZIS folks, here's a link to their contact info.

If it helps, your years of experience and high-quality engagements (both of you) will help hugely, as you know. There might also (if you need a job offer for the points, or if you go via Work-to-Residence or something) be more leniency these days about your being offered or having a background in contract work. I contrast this with traditional 9-to-5 full-time employment.
Ask the NZIS guys about how this new 'tolerance' of contract work might benefit you in different scenarios -- it may be of most signifiance if you get into a situation such as being offered a patchwork of freelance work once you're in the Skilled Migrant Work to Residence strand.
Whatever: there does just seem to be a little relaxation of the old 'bias' towards 30-hr full-time job offers and the like, since last December's amendments came in. Investigate it: maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm onto something.
How are you doing? :nice1
Cheers,
Matt.
