How Much to Pay for Professional Garden Maintenance

Any idea how much we should expect to pay for the maintenance of our garden - lawn mowing, hedge clipping and general care of the various plants, bushes and trees? It would also be nice to know how the price may vary from season to season (for instance, I would not expect weekly visits during winter). Our section is fairly sizeable and fairly high maintenance.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I might do that at some point in the future. :) Been wondering about pricing. Right now I do the mowing because OH won't get to it, but things may change to where I won't be able to do it.

I have no idea of costs - our landlord pays for our lawns to be cut fortnightly and a quarterly extensive gardening which includes weeding, pruning and weedkiller application to driveway and cobbled garden (takes 3 or 4 days) :clap

We used the bloke who did our neighbours but wish I'd shopped about a bit
We paid $100 just over for a small garden, prune trees, weed beds (he lsft the 'self seeded plants' & didn't mow underneath the trampoline as it does mean bending down all the time but it's small.
The trees were good but I'm starting to think did he know his stuff when he wanted to eat my olivies from the tree, I believe they are Tawa, the birds love them but not sure if they are human edible :D

I should be able to answer this for Auckland prices being a property manager but as the majority of my properties are maintained by the tenants I haven't had to book many gardening jobs yet. I know to mow my lawns, quite a big urban garden, very uneven, front and back will be $25 ish a time. initial mow is about $35. Pretty reasonable I thought.

We have a half section on the North Shore and pay just $20 for our lawns to be cut. Every two weeks in summer and every three in winter...all our neighbours use the same guy so we adopted him when we bought the house.

Lawn mowing starts at $20 and can go up to $40, depends on size , accessibility and growth for initial mow.

Frequency is the customers choice but most are on fortnightly visits in the growing season and this can extend to 3-6 weeks in winter or as and when.

Gardening starts at $30/hr and most customers have a fortnightly visit, a big Autumn clean up and then as and when over winter.
