i was part of a conversation yesterday where it was mentioned that the job mrs v recently obtained had 150 applicants. a year ago, they were lucky to get 5. not from the good news department but probably worth knowing nonetheless.

yeah it's getting like that for a lot of jobs by the sounds of it. counting our bleesings here!

Yes that is par for course right now.
I have spoken with friends who are recruiters etc and most roles across the board in CHCH are getting 150-200 applications,usually before they even mention salary too.

There plenty of turmoil still to come I imagine.
NZD will be on 70c US soon too.
