To those of you who have recently arrived in NZ, can you please tell me what procedures you went through on the flight/airport.
I understand there is a contact card to complete. Are these collected by the air crew or at customs? Did you go through a heat detector or just advised to let someone know if you were feeling unwell?

We had to fill out a informational card for everyone in the family- basically asks for contact inforamation, where you plan to stay, etc. Also we had to walk through the heat sensors once we got off (we were in Sydney) where a camera can supposedly detect if someone has a fever (but I've heard they don't work). Our plane was held up once we arrived back in Chch since one of the passengers appeared ill and we had to wait until a paramedic came to check her out (she was deemed fine so they let us get off the plane). I talked to the flight attendant (ANZ) and she said they are under orders to report any person that looks ill during the flight. I don't know why they don't check the people out before they get on the plane? We are headed to Cairnes and Tahiti on our move home this week and I'm afraid we will get held up due to these quarantines. :uhoh I believe it was customs who collected the info card - it was not the crew from what I recall.

The flight attendant said they were looking for people with respiratory symptoms- coughs, etc. Which is basically everybody who has a cold or allergies!
