How do you actualy submit the ITA pack?

This seems a bit silly but how do you actualy submit the ITA pack?
1. Can we use stapler to staple the pages (relevant pages)?
2. Can we use paper clips to clip documents in the same category (ie, passport, birth cert 1 stack, qualifications 1 stack, work reference 1 stack, etc)?
3. The ITA quide stated that we should not use folder. Does that mean we just put everthing (all the loose pieces) inside the envelop provided by the courier company?
I hope I don't make everyone here :roll
:) and have a good day!

1. You cant staple any pages together! :no
2. No paper clips allowed! :no
3. Yes you just put everything in the order they have asked for it and post it! :yes
HTH :)

NZIS prefer loose bundle. I submitted mine in a loose bundle, not a single word of complaint.

yeah they don't like that sort of thing I've heard.
we wrote a cover letter stating exactly what was included in point form listed as 1 2 3 etc etc and basically just included all the evidence and documentation in exactly the order listed on the cover letter, all loose pages. No staples, sleeves, paperclips etc.

Forgot to mention before, we did put in a cover letter listing all the documentation, and in the order we put it. HTH :)

Hi Snowy_apple,
The other day when I was looking for some INZ information, I came across a link to a document (Word) called "Tips For Lodging Skilled Migrant Applications" (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rdonlyres/4BEB5B7F-6FD7-4845-8E6A-6D9F581B77D5/0/TipsforlodgingSMapplication1205web.doc) in my Favourites, perhaps it may be helpful when putting together your application.
Good Luck !
Cheers,
Silver

Hi there,
We did use dividers with those little plastic label thingys so we labeled each section. We had our cover letter first then everything else in order as to how NZIS wanted the packet organized. No staples, paper clips, just a loose packet.
Our CO did not mention one thing about those dividers.
Hope this helps and good luck! :nice1

Hi all,
Thanks for your quick replies. Ok, I'll have the cover letter listing all the documents, then just put all the loose pieces categorised in color dividers in the order required by the quide. Just hope that the INZ branch officer will not lose any one piece from the bundle!
Hi Silver, I do have the Tips document. Just curious how I should organise the documents when it stated that no file is allowed. Thanks.
Hi Rob&Don, JK&A, BodaciousBean, noticed you've just got your PR recently. Congratulations! Really happy for you :clap!
Hi rizjunior, thanks for the info. Did you get your PR or still waiting?
Allow me to ask...what is plastic sleeves? Also, not relevant here, what/where is OZ?

A plastic sleeve is a pouch to hold paper. One kind is open-ended and has an edge with holes in so they can be stored in a ring binder. Another, slightly stiffer, kind has a flap like an envelope, which fastens with a press-stud. They protect the paper itself from getting crumpled.
Oz = Australia.

NZIS would prefer no dividers either, they have to go through all your documents anyway so putting dividers in just gets in their way.

Best to not use dividers. Don't staple. Don't use paper clips. Just pile everything together in exactly the same order as stated on the original ITA, that's what they're looking for. Then state everything you are including in the cover letter. That's very important too. No need for fancy coloured pages to divide sections, or plastic tabs, or whatever. Just use the KISS method. :nice1

We used rubber bands to keep the stack together. We also used printed title sheets with a brief list of contents to separate the sections.

My apologies Snowy_apple, I didn't realise you already had the document :o.

hmmm...looks like I would just have a rubber band to keep the big stack together and then in the envelop. Thanks all for your help :yes.
Hi Silver, why the apology? I couldn't thank you enough, you're just so helpful. Thanks ;).

Hi all,
Please allow me to bring this up again. I've just collected our medical reports. The medical assistant stapled the pages for each person (4 reports, each neatly stapled for myself, OH, and our 2 sons). Should I leave them as they are or should I remove the staples
I think to staple relevant pages will make the pile much neater. eg. we have 3 pieces of passport copies for each person. If we don't staple, they are 12 loose pieces. What if the papers got all mixed up? (like the CO accidently drops eveything on the floor?? :uhoh)
This is especially so for medical reports. What if 1 piece of my medical report mixed with OH, and 1 piece of OH's mixed with the kids? Surely we can staple for this purpose?
Cheers...

Hiya Snowy apple
You can leave the medical reports stapled together but DONT staple anything else as NZIS dont want it done this way. They dont want neat they want loose!!
The only documents in our ITA that were stapled together were our medicals (the panel doc did this) and everything else was loose and there were six of us!! HTH :)

Yeah, I'd leave those in. Our medicals came in envelopes so we just left them in the envelopes (after checking that places were signed etc).

I assume they want it loose to alow them to scan, fax and copy stuff. Equally binders would end up with some people sending a box of binders all hole punched and ready to jam a copier.

Thanks all....I'm more sure now.
One more question...the photographs. It says in the application form:
"Please pin or staple two recent passport size photographs of the principal applicant and of any accompanying partner and/or child/ren on this page. Write the name of each applicant on the back of each photo."
Do we just do what is told, to staple the photographs? Or do we paste them? If paste, then no point to write the name. Maybe just staple, right?
Sigh, never occur to me to staple or not can be so confusing!
Have checked that everthing is in place. Will submit the ITA pack very soon. Hope everything is fine after that.

Write the name of each person on the back of each photo, and use either a staple, or a pin, to attach each one. They don't want them pasted - the point is they probably take them off that page and attach them to individual forms for their files.

to most people everything is confusing if you haven't done it before
once you've submitted your pack you'll know what to do :)

Thank you people. As you said, I'll staple the photos. Just have to think of a way to staple those placed in the middle of the sheet...to get a longer stapler maybe...:)

Just fold the paper and be careful not to staple the fold to the page too.
