Probably most may already know this, but a kiwi mate of mine recommended booking a room in the airport hotel even for a few hours between flights in SIngapore. SHower, kip, whatever??? about £20 I think

Yeah, we look into that, but I got paranoid that we'd fall asleep and miss next flight!! :laugh
I shall be off to the health spa on arrival and possibly trying to drag Sandra along too - nice Indian head massage and a shower ... yummmmm

Any one know if you can get lap tops for a decent price at Singapore airport? I dont want to buy one now and find i could get a good deal whilst on a stopover, By the amount of people advertising them on Ebay as new from Singapore/Hong Kong then I suspect the prices will be considerablty cheaper than in the UK and NZ

Moorf - Remind me at what time you land in Singapore. Then I'll be on the terrace in time.

Hi Steve
Purchased a Sony TR5mp in Singapore and we saved 450 pounds aginainst the UK price, we did buy from the sony shop in town as the price didn't vary much. Managed to get a bag and cordless mouse thrown in. We need to register with sony on line and we get the same year warranty otherwise we would only have had a singapore warranty. We looked into this before we left and knew which model we wanted etc. My advice would be to go to a registered dealer for the particular brand you want and you should be able to check this on line via the manufacturers web site.
