Still sitting here, patiently waiting for the house to sell, and also for NZIS to sort out our application.

We needed to gather tons of stuff together to prove that our 23 year old son is still a dependent (which he most definitely is according to my bank balance:wah). Having done all that at least a month ago now, we waited patiently (well, kind of) until finally yesterday we got further requests for even more information about him. Also, hubby (who has colitis) needs to get a letter from his specialist about his long term prognoses and worst case scenario (which we don't think will be a problem: any other colitis sufferers out there?). The whole thing just seems to be taking soooo long.

Now we wait until the specialist has done this, and they have assessed son again. Timeline just seems to be stretching on......... It is now almost approaching a year since we filled out our EOI.

Patience is a virtue, my Mum used to say ......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Anyone want to buy a house:wah:wah:wah

I'm so sorry it's taking soooo long- we've been very spoiled with our emigration timelines (all 3 :o ) but I have great empathy for all those held up in limbo land- mentally and emotionally one side of the world, physically another.

Hang in there- NZ will still be there when it falls into place for you :)

(((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))

My timeline is not quite as long as yours, but I keep telling myself patience. I know that people out there have PR who submitted a week before us, but we still have not heard anything, but think it may gone off to the MA......

Mum's are right about the patience thing (I keep telling myself that too!) but when it applies to yourself it most definitely hits the ranks of torture, not virtue!

It could be worse - you could be applying for Canada. 77 months and counting for some people that I know. Not much consolation for you, but hang in there! Soon you will have some blue bananas!

Thank you all - it is just so frustrating. I know (at least I keep telling myself that I do!) that it will all fall into place: I'm sure the Universal forces are all working together - I just want them to get a move on:yes

77 months for Canada!!! Now that is Patience!

Ah Icemaiden, I feel your frustration. Hopefully things will 'kickstart' soon and then you'll be wishing you had more time!!! :laugh

Hey, I read a story in the International Express (a paper predominately for ex-pats with all the news from Britain). Apparently a very 'savvy' millionaire who has recently divorced has decided to give his luxury lifestyle (the mansion, the cars, the boat etc) away in a competion which costs £20 for people to enter. His fortune is currently calculated at 1.1 million, but if he can sell 200,000 tickets, he stands to walk away with 4 million plus a house that he is finding difficult to sell!!!!! What a clever idea.

Fancy putting your house in a competition???? Just an idea????

I've heard about people putting their house in a raffle but I think there were questions as to the legitimacy of it all. We are actually based on a marina and we have our own pontoon so I thought about buying a cheap boat, and selling it for £300,000 with a free house thrown in!! I thought we might be able to get round the stamp duty that way:laugh I'm not so sure Gordon Brown would agree ...
