Our spare room slowly turned into the "Operation New Zealand Room" with maps on the wall - guide books stacked up all over the floor - folders with titles like NZ Housing, NZ Cost of Living, NZ Schools etc You get the picture.
Our 3 year old thinks everyone who has a For Sale/Sold sign outside their house is moving to New Zealand or Mew Leazand as she calls it.
Our 5 year sold son has asked some great questions. The best being "Do kids get nits in New Zealand" Anyone know the answer to that one?
Ive had some really wierd dreams too. Had a dream that I was locking our front door for the last time and the whole house fell to the ground just leaving the front door standing upright. [/i]

Hi Joanne,

We have a big wicker box at the side of the fire with assorted files, with all ranges of topics about NZ. Flights, accomodation, etc etc.

No-body can get through on the phone as we are trawling the net or on here ALL day. I have had 4 calls on my mobile in the last 2 hours already!! 'Are you on that b****y internet?'

Kids are the best aren't they? My daughter asked 'Is NZ in THIS country?' Awwwww bless.

Its exciting having a designated area to turn to when you get a 'I'm going to NZ moment!' :nice1

When and where are you going to?

They definately have nits in NZ. I was reading a school newsletter on their website telling parents to be vigilant. So - sadly, they are there too - no escaping the nit..... :uhoh

I'm glad we're not the only one's with NZ paperwork everywhere  We're still at the 'hoping to get PR' stage, but it hasn't stopped us getting together a huge amount of information. Put this all together with current building work (by ourselves), school commitments and general life and its feeling pretty crowded in here :wah . We just can't wait until we know (fingers crossed) that they do actually want us in NZ and we get out of the limbo stage of waiting and hoping. What am I saying? Of course they want us, it's just going to take a few months for them to realise it :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh

Unfortunately nits are alive and kicking in NZ, by the way its a good idea when you get here to have a big map of your area up on the wall in maybe a spare room, go and consult it just before you leave home, gives you a fair idea of the layout of the place.
