its official. hub the architect has to work for someone in nz to re-qualify (this should be fun!) as nz architects must be registered with their legal governing body. so we are gettin' the v fine 2 year work to pr. figured this was coming so not too surprised but pr would have been so much more satisfying.

so far so good. no real complaints. they are decent to deal with and can be HELPFUL. even tho we have delays thanks to missing doc it still moves reasonably efficiently - makes a change that we are the ones lacking. almost entertaining.

Sorry to hear that you did not get PR, but you can work to get PR, life just likes to make things a little more challenging for you.

Don't give up on your dream.

Chin up.

Keep your pucker up, mucker. There's always more than one way to skin a cat, as they say.

aw shucks,

now that we're all seeing how quickly things can move its pretty irrelevant how you get there. its just good to know you have enough of an opp to get there and get stuck in. before, when everything was so slow, we were having visions of being stuck in london, without jobs @ Ģ6000/month min expenses and a teenager slowly morphing into an underage hooker. not pretty

I think this still calls for celebrations doesn't it?? :clap :clap :clap You are being given the opportunity to follow your dreams, but just in a slightly more challenging way. Keep the faith, keep it going, and you'll get that PR in no time :nice1

hello leslie,

So you got a WTR instead of a PR.

May I ask what are the restrictions in your WTR? does the stamp/sticker specifically state that it is a work visa?

In our country, we have a problem with the WTR because our immigration would require us to submit an employment contract before we can get out!!!. some catch 22 thing.. the horror!
