Hello

Anyone who has any experience with NZIS Wellington? We submitted our ITA pack early last week and have received an email from NZIS saying they have received our pack. We have been given application & client numbers, but just wanting to have a rough estimate how long the wait time is. Our friends who applied for their PR a few years ago had their PR come out after a month, but seeing that times have changed, I'm just wondering if it'll take more than half a year for it to be approved.

Husband and I are working as audiologists at the moment, which are on the long-term skilled list.

From the website for Wellington:- 95% of all applications for residence under the Skilled Migrant Category will be completed within six to nine months from when we accept your application for processing.

I put ours in on 23/12/2007 and we got PR on 30/04/2008.

Hi Steph,

As you can see from my sig, I applied to the Welly office for PR on 29 May 2009, received an acknowledgment email on 3rd June and a letter saying we'll get a CO assigned in 10-12 weeks soon after that. Not long after, all our docs were returned.

We're still waiting to hear more from NZIS just yet. My situation is that I already have a job here in Wellington and got a WTR work visa back in Jan which lasts 30 months so there is no rush for them to grant me PR.
