Hi,
I've got a telephone interview lined up for next Tuesday. Anyone got any tips or suggestions please?
Cheers,
Yogi.
PS. It's for an IT job if that makes a difference.

I've done a couple (and got the second one!) The ones I've had have been pretty much straightforward - talking through my CV and highlighting my experience. Have to say the people I've spoken to have been friendly and relaxed and it's been pretty easy to establish a rapport with them. So I wouldn't worry too much.

Is this the NZIS type or the employment type? I just had a job interview on 11 April and got offered the job last night. Still very fresh in my mind...

It's a job interview I have lined up. Tips appreciated.
Cheers,
Yogi.
PS. Will they normally require a face to face meeting as a follow-up?

I thought the phone interview was much more relaxed than an in person interview. They asked questions about what parts of NZ I had looked at, why NZ, and long term plans.
I spent a lot of time answering technical, job related questions and scenarios. That was really the bulk of the interview. They were very situation, what-if and how would you handle this questions. Very in depth.
They will also spend some time talking about the position itself and give you plenty of time to ask your questions.
I really found out that I had little to worry about--it wasn't that stressful.
Good luck!
