Seems like there are an awful lot of threads tonight that shippers have been busy packing us all away!
Crown Relocations arrived on time this morning and 6 guys got to work promptly and completed before midday (we have about 460 cubic ft).
So tonight, we are celebrating with a cheese and wine evening....however this is not as glamorous as it seems!!! We are sat on foldable garden chairs in the living room watching the telly which is on the floor, with red wine in a plastic mug and half a mini babybel cheese :laugh:D...that's before we settle down for the evening on a blow up mattress, lol! :laugh
don't know whats cheesier...the babybel or our smiles!!!

I am with you in spirit, Pickfords arrive on Monday at 9am, just discussing the fact we will only have 1 beanbag between 4 of us for 4wks, quick trip to Argos in the morning. Good luck with you move, by NZ standards it looks like quite a classy party ; )

Sweet as :nice1 Reminds me of my last night in empty flat sitting on the floor with picnic - my only problem was that I had packed the corkscrew and those darned UK bottles of wine only had cork tops, unlike here where they are all screw tops.

We went and got a Chinese takeaway from our favourite joint, trouble was didn't have a menu and instead of getting our fave dish got shredded beef, Oh well got free chopsticks good job as all our cutlery has gone!
Hoping for good nights sleep on our borrowed airbed - looks real comfy, probably not be saying that at 3am.

I'd like to say you get used to it, but I'd be fibbing - make sure the bed is fully inflated at night and where possible put an extra blanket down on top of the mattress/under the sheet
Great pic though :D

My daughter used an airbed after she moved into a new flat, and left it in the one place as for an ordinary bed. When she got a proper bed and moved the air mattress, she found damp had collected under it and she had mould in the carpet. Obviously temperature and humidity in the particular house will vary, but after this we did notice that there's a bit of condensation under any air mattress we've slept on overnight anywhere.

Ahh the airbed. The first night we made do with a mish mash of old bedding - bad idea, didn't sleep a wink. The next day we went to primark and got a king size duvet for £10, last night no worries - just slept like someone who's emigrating in two days.

Good old Primark, any chance they are going to open up in NZ?

Well done Julie!!
Sympathise with the aches. I ahve just spent the last three nights camping with friends doing an apprenticeship for Glastonbury..the mud was ankle deep and I had to bring my neice home and launder her.
Tip we found for the airbed was to blow it up again each night to keep it really firm..it helps!
Good luck and have my fingers crossed for you all.
Love
