Plenty of you going via Singapore. Does anyone know what Hong Kong airport is like??

Unfortunately, they were still building it before we left. But I know it is very swish and modern so should be good. Dave very nearly got a job on the building project, but just missed out.

There is a direct link on the MTR (Mass Transit Railway - Underground) straight into Central, Hong Kong side, probably goes to Kowloon side as well. The MTR is really impressive and runs like clockwork. Very clean and pleasant to travel on - except in the rush hour, then you wonder how so many people can fit into such a small island. It must be an impressive journey, because we saw them building the bridges across the islands. Sorry I don't have any actual experience of it.

I was there briefly in April this year and, from what I saw, it is very modern and clean, with plenty of shops and facilities. I couldn't say much more as I spent most of my few hours there sleeping on the seats! One thing I did notice though was the fantastic views when coming in to land on the UK to Hong Kong leg, so make sure you're awake for that.

Thanks for that, there's nothing better than seeing a new place while coming in to land!
