I'm a painter in Canada and I need to know what's the salary for professionnal household paint work in New Zealand.

Here in Canada the hourly salary is 35$+/hr with bill, (declared work)
Undeclared it's 25$/hr.
Per square foot the average is 0.65$.

Our painter is on $30/ hour

I dont mind at all.
My boss charges most of his tradesmen (such as myself), out at aprox $40 per hour. The guys who do the work usually recieve between $17 and $24 per hour depending on experience/seniority etc.
As far as I know, this is pretty much the norm for painters who are on wages in NZ. Obviously it is a whole new ball game if one is self employed.
