Anyone know if it would be worth buying de-humidyfiers before going to NZ.
I have seen a 10,000 BTU unit for around the £200 mark at B&Q. How would this compare?

Warehouse today

30L/day De-hums $399NZ 2 year warranty.

If NZ houses were insulated the bottom would fall out of the De-hum market.

I have been talking to a number of salesmen in electrical stores in NZ. They all state they have Mitsubishi de-hums at home as these are considered to be the best for both performance and noise levels. The Mitsubishi is also the most expensive, so I guess they would say that wouldn't they ?!

Anyway the largest Mitsubishi has a 26 litre extraction rate and costs $999. However Heathcote Appliances are selling it for $899. We have just bought one and it certainly seems to be the business.

I suppose the question aboutbringing any electrical appliance from the UK is can you get spare parts if it goes wrong.
