Hi - New to the forum. Its fantastic we have read so many answers to questions we had been longing to ask someone!

We are looking for any advice or tips on what to expect from a telephone interview with NZIS. We received our ITA in Jan 05 and apparently this interview is necessary as I have not yet got an offer of skilled employment.

Welcome, Miggy. Use the forum search function and put in "telephone interview", "phone interview",or similar, as search words. There have been at least a dozen or so really good threads about this - lists of questions, tips, etc.
If you like you can narrow the focus of your search so that it just concentrates on the Emigrate NZ Community board... I think most of the relevant threads are on this board (as opposed to on 'Making the Move', etc., boards).

Most people, probably everyone, seem to get asked roughly the same things, and the concensus is that the interview is both pretty friendly and is not designed to catch you out. It's really to make sure you have a realistic idea of what to expect from NZ and to see if you care enough about moving there to have done some good research, and/or visited NZ.

One more thing, Miggy: when you do the forum search, be sure to note whether a thread you find in the results is indeed talking about the NZIS interview and not job interviews. Both topics come up quite regularly.
