Gosh, I'm overwhelmed by all the postive comments about the place :laugh

We went there on holiday (yes I know I'm probably the only person to have holidayed in Invercargill  ) and well , I thought it was really nice.
The city centre is nicely laid out with great buildings, there are some lovely safe beaches around , and its only a couple of hours away from the mountains.
Unfortunatly we need to be near a skydiving centre at the moment, but otherwise I'd seriously consider it , especially with the price of the houses.
by the way where is Borth?

It's at the rear end of Wales :laugh Don't get me wrong, Wales is nice ..... but there's exceptions to every rule.

As long as you avoid the icebergs.

My inlaws entered a raffle once where the first prize was 1 week all expences paid trip to Invercargill. The 2nd prize was 2 weeks all expences paid trip to Invercargill.

(OK, that last bit was a fib but it kind of paints the right kind of picture).

Can only speak from experience, but when we passed through it was around February, freezing cold, grey, misty and wet and NOT the friendliest place on earth. (Cue duelling banjo's .... squeel like a pig).

I know of a guy who had some property down near Invercargill that he just couldn't sell...was a drain on his resources with upkeep & so on...so in the end he sold it for a buck! Just to be rid.

You getting the picture now?
